Idee

R&D: ideas, products and……solutions!

In Greggio the process of “research and development” – intended in the widest interpretation of the term – involves a large team of people with different functions: from the commercial area, marketing, and product office to the productive division. Ideas are exchanged and compared on a large scale and are put into developing an “innovative idea” of a “product never seen before”. A project that will have all the characteristics of being innovative in at least one aspect.

The procedure starts with generating a series of ideas from which the team’s shared choice will be selected. In Greggio, this course starts, finishes and is renewed continually within the company, involving different sectors which, all together, give rise to a specific project.

A summary of the phases needed to put a project on the market:
An idea begins (1)... the result of intuition, fantasy, knowledge of the market and its dynamics, company aims, client’s desires and expectations and many other variables. The idea sometimes originates from the application consequences of a method, sometimes suddenly, without warning, without a predefined course but according to logical intuition, fanciful and therefore personal. The definition of all requirements (2) is then carried out and which the same idea must guarantee, contextually to the collection of outside information (3) supporting the validity of the idea, arriving at the design phase (4) and prototyping (5). The final step is production (6) followed by distribution (7).
